Tandoori Chicken (at Home - without a Tandoor)




Serves:
       4 Persons

Ingredients:
  1. Chicken - 1 Kg (Big Pieces)
  2. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
  3. Tandoori Powder - 2 Tbsp
  4. Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp
  5. Thick Curd - 2 Tbsp
  6. Red Food Colour - 1/2 Tsp
  7. Vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  8. Salt - As per Taste
  9. Chaat Masala - To Sprinkle (Optional)
  10. Onion / Carrot / Cucumber / Lettuce / Other - for Garnishing (as required / Optional)
  11. Mayonnaise / Any Other Sauce - (Optional)


Method:
  •  Marinate the Chicken (Method):
  1. Wash the Chicken pieces, Strain and Keep aside.
  2. In a Separate Bowl add all ingredients except Chaat Masala and the Veggies and make a paste.
  3. Now apply the paste to the Chicken such that it covers the chicken fully.
  4. Leave the Chicken for at least  1 hour to marinate.
  5. Now, Grill the Chicken in an Oven Rack till well done.
  6. Alternately you can use a Grill Rack and Roast the Chicken pieces on a Gas Stove, till well done.
  7. Now sprinkle the Chaat Masala
  8. Use the Veggies to Garnish
